Doreen Costello was born in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England in 1922. Doreen came to NZ in 1963 and settled in Tokomaru Bay on the East Coast. A potter, painter and printmaker she is actively involved in local art organisations and is a keen promoter of women’s art.
