Ron H Wayne
Biography
Methodist Lay missionary who worked in government administration in the late 1920s and 30s. He was in Guinea when Rabaul fell to the Japanese in 1942 and was killed, one of the passengers on the unmarked Japanese POW ship heading to China - Montevideo Maru, sunk by USS Sturgeon, 30 June 1942. Worst maritime disaster in Australian history, carrying 1054 POWs and 209 civilians.
