Bone embroidery stiletto. Creamy coloured fine-grained bone. Stiletto is cylindrical in shape, tapering to a point at one end. The other end has three grooves around the top and ends in a spherical shape with a small hole in the top.
Used in tailoring to unpick basting. Given to Mrs Harrison by a Scottish tailor in Gisborne. Both employed by Platten, the Tailor, Gisborne.
