Desk: oak, drop-front, surface carving, lion's head handles. Impressed into the back of the desk top left corner is "1487". Handwritten upside-down on the backing of the desk in black is: "C. A. Olden / Gisborne" and down the proper left side: "3/16 36 x 36 S.S. Pims" and stamped in black ink near the centre: "E. V. CO. / L. NO. N.Z.S.S. / 168 £160 / NO. 1 GRADE".
