Spinning top/ potaka. Wooden. It has a 8cm shank. It originally had 4 paua shell insets, 2 are now missing. There are 2 remaining insets, 1 is pegged the other is not. The piece is made from 1 piece of wood. It is stained darker on the cirular plane. It is carved on the conical polane with lineal and notched motifs. There is some pitting on the shank.
