Description
Greenstone toki from Hick's Bay. Mid to dark green colouration. Polished over approximately half of the surface. The rest of the surface is chipped and has a layer of grime on it. Irregular in shape but 4 sided. The blade end is curved with rounded corners, one of the corners is higher than the other. One of the lateral sides is straight and has a longitudinal raised ridge line. The opposite lateral edge is slightly curved. The poll edge is angled. One side has some cream coloured foreign matter on it which appears to be adhesive remnant. The opposite side has the accession number written on twice, one is difficult to read. On the same side there is a polished section across the blade end and running about 14.5cm up the centre and partially near the lateral edges.
