Kahu Huruhuru.
The kaupapa (foundation) appears to be undyed candlewick or something similar, the aho (thread) used to bind is synthetic thread. Whatu ahopātahi (single paired twine) approx 10mm width between each row. Originally,the kaupapa had a border right around the edges of brown feathers, which are believed to be Weka. These have worn in places, particularly on the PRUQ. The body is decorated in a sequence of rows of feathers (some have worn away) with embroidered blue and black woolen circles in between. The two side edges and lower border (approx 10cm from edge) have a blue and black woollen twinging. It is partially worn and appears to only be used for decorative purposes.
