Korowai
The kaupapa (foundation) of this kākahu is muka using whatu aho rua (two pair finger twining) technique with 1cm spacing between each aho row.
This Korowai is extremely soft and light, it is evident that the muka used for this kākahu has been through the patu muka stage. Aho poka (shaping row) is visable 48cm down from the top. This technique allows the kākahu to shape the wearers body. Some missing hukahuka along the whiri and through the kaupapa.
