Kākahu made of pīngao and neinei; decorated in a cubic pattern in various shades of brown, diagonal bands of squares in alternating colours (natural, black and yellow-brown). 3 tones of brown. No ties. Believed to have been adorned with hukahuka (tassels) of which have damaged & broken off over time. Suspect that the sections which have worn were dyed with paru, because of the research of paru dyed materials disintegrating over time.
