Description
Boxed set of gemstone specimens of New Zealand. Hinged cardboard box covered in textured silver and white paper. The interior of the box is lined with cream textile. Printed in gold on the textile inside the lid is: "POLISHED / NEW ZEALAND / GEMSTONES". Adhered to the top left inside corner of the lid is a polished paua sample. There are eighteen polished gemstone specimens housed in the base of the box. They are adhered to the textile. A cream textile cord is affixed to the inside rim of the base of the box. Attached to the end of the cord is a booklet printed in green and black: "GEMSTONES / & JEWELLERY / STONES / OF / NEW ZEALAND". The booklet is eight pages long, and includes a diagram and accompanying information about the gemstones, and includes a map of New Zealand.
