Greywacke adze found in early 1900s on Puninga Station, Whareratas Forest Reserve, Te Kooti's Track. Marianne Duncan, of Auckland University, stated this was made in a late local style. Rounded at poll end. Shaped at poll end for hafting, shaped like the neck of a bottle. Badly chipped at blade edge, the chip runs almost half way up one side and is approximately half the width of the blade. Polished but lightly pitted.
