Argillite adze found on forestry land at Kopuawhara. Marianne Duncan (Auckland University) stated that this was reworked from an older piece and that the stone is from the Nelson/Marlborough area. Blade chipped on one corner. Shaped at poll for hafting. Two angled lateral edges. Tapers out from poll to blade. Isosceles trapezoid cross section. Polished.
