Stone adze ploughed up at Pirongia, Te Awamutu, c.1900. May be made of grandiorite, and is a Duff 2A adze. The adze is a pale grey near the blade, half way up and to the poll the adze is a darker tone of grey. The adze has an all-over polish, unifacial cutting edge, one extensive flake scar on ventral surface extending from mid-body to cutting edge. Some scratches and scuffs on surface. Typical archaic phase adze.
