Description
Greywacke, found on hill above Matawai in early 1970s. Blade edge chipped and filed, butt end ground for hafting. Rounded at poll end. Blade wider than poll end. The edges are rounded and the corners are also rounded. Polished but lightly pitted. Roughly the same width over four fifths of the surface. Two shallow lineal cracks run about one quarter of the way up the adze from the blade edge on one side.
