Yes, probably taken right out near Tuahine Point looking across Sponge Bay to Papawhariki, Puakawai and Tuamotu. The Wainui reference is a hang over from Crawford who named it such in his records.

Wainui? I'd have thought that was Tuamotu island at the left there, aka "Sponge Bay"
