Argillite adze. Unfinished and is in the bruising stage. It has been polished at the blade end, but is rough and lightly pitted at the butt end. The blade is curved. It has adhesive stains from old id numbers, one rectangular near the blade, the other half way up. Both are on the side with the accession number. Chipped and scratched over the surface. The butt end is very rough and is chipped. It has been shaped for hafting, the sides taper in toward the butt from approximately halfway up the length.
