Greywacke adze found at Whatatutu. Grey colouration. Polished at blade end but with some pitted areas exposed. Lightly pitted over the rest of the adze. Curves in aproximately half way down the piece for attatching the haft to the butt end. Rounded butt. Two chips near the butt on the side with the accession numbers. Old rectangular sellotape adhesive mark on the same side.
