Kouma, navigators necklace. Semi-circular plate of South Island pounamu is suspended on Fijian sennit (a type of cordage made by plaiting strands of dried fibre or grass, important in the cultures of Oceania). Plate has a groove 10cm in from edges and serrations with sharp tips have been cut around outer edge (not at neck).
