Tin: rice caddy. Tall square tin with hinged lid. The tin is painted in black, red and white and features three Oriental scenes, a kneeling woman with a fan in each hand on the lid, a seated woman with a teapot and a seated man with a fan on the front and back, and a crouching woman with a parasol on the sides. On the front in red and white is: "RICE". Affixed to the bottom of the tin is part of a label in the shape of a shield, with a word obscured due to damage: "CEYLON / [indecipherable] / TEA". The surface is very scratched.
