Dark black adze. Quite thick. Lateral edges and proximal/poll end pitted but rest bruised smooth. Two small chips and one gouge visible from under adze. Rough surface at poll end. Found on the East Coast somewhere between Tolaga and Tokomaru prior to 1935.
